The challenges have begun! All summer long, invite families with children aged 4 to 12 to take part in the “Reinvent Your Summer” initiative, featuring fun and educational weekly challenges on the Parent Estrie Facebook page. One challenge per week for 8 weeks!

New this year: each completed challenge gives parents one chance to win books for their children. And by participating, they also give their child’s school a chance to win $500 at Biblairie GGC.

The entire R3USSIR team took part on May 27 and 28 in the Interregional Gathering of Educational Success and School Perseverance Roundtables, organized by the Réseau québécois pour la réussite éducative (RQRE).

A truly inspiring moment, filled with exchanges and the sharing of best practices with stakeholders from across Quebec. These annual gatherings highlight the importance of collaboration in supporting school perseverance and educational success among young people. On June 12, R3USSIR took part in the 2026 Estrie Recognition Gala, organized by the Chambre de commerce de Sherbrooke. On this occasion, we presented the Committed Employer for Educational Success recognition to Coop Alentour, in acknowledgement of its strong commitment to youth in Estrie.

Through practices that support work-study balance and the development of future talent, the organization actively contributes to educational success. The evening was filled with emotion and pride, bringing together more than 600 leaders under the theme “The Courage to Build.”

This action research project, carried out as part of the Histoires de famille program, highlights the positive impact of family literacy activities in community organizations. Conducted with nine families in vulnerable contexts, it emphasizes the importance of creating welcoming spaces where parents, children, and books come together to support school readiness and educational success.

What factors influence the attainment of a first college credential? This analysis from the ISQ highlights external factors—related to students’ educational pathways and life context—associated with graduation before the age of 28. The findings help deepen understanding of the realities that shape persistence and success at the college level, beyond the learning environment itself.

The Observatoire des tout-petits is launching the 0–5 Data Bank, a platform bringing together more than 200 key indicators on the development and well-being of young children in Quebec. It provides data on early childhood education services, literacy, screen use, and more, with simplified search tools, data cross-referencing, key highlights, and download options.

Webinar – Profile of Youth at Risk of Dropping Out in Estrie and Inspiring Initiatives (in French)

Based on key findings from an analysis of the Quebec Health Survey of High School Students 2022–2023, R3USSIR presented a profile of youth at risk of dropping out in Estrie, in collaboration with the Public Health Directorate of the CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS.
